This
week the anime adaptation of “ 2.5 Dimensional Seduction ( 2.5-jigen
no Ririsa )”, a story focused on cosplay, finally premiered
. The story focuses on Okumura, president of the Manga Club at his school,
who meets Ririsa, a girl interested in cosplay who decides to join the
club. Eventually Okumura becomes his photographer and discovers that
Ririsa likes to dress like the character he adores so much. Could this help him
finally go from 2D to 3D?
As we had previously reported, the otaku community
had been interested in the proposal of this series due to the cosplay theme
reminiscent of “ Sono
Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru ( My Dress-Up Darling )”.
In fact, since the latter has an announced sequel but has not announced more
details in years, fans began to call this new protagonist “ Marin
Kitagawa's successor/rival .”
And with the premiere of the first episode, you've
finally gotten an idea of what to expect from this series in the
future. In addition, “2.5 Dimensional Seduction” is confirmed with a
total of twenty-four episodes, so there will be plenty of time (unlike “Sono
Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru”) to enjoy this new proposal.
And of course, the opinions of Japanese fans did not
take long:
- « Well,
it might be a good anime since it doesn't have those white lights .»
- « The
presentation is different and it made me laugh .»
- « Are
you left without underwear? ».
- " If
I had a girl that close, I would be scared ."
- « Like
“My Dress-Up Darling”, there is not enough credibility in a gal falling in
love with an eroge for otakus ».
- « In
this case, she is not a gal, just an otaku girl .»
- " I
wonder how they are going to hide the scene in the manga where the breasts
are visible ."
- « It
seems that he is deviating from the manga club activities .»
- " Cosplayers
that interest me usually work in girls' bars ."
- « Cosmetic
surgery, beauty treatments and quality clothing cost money .»
- « Is
the author a virgin? ».
- « This
girl is a little crazy. I can't believe it's a true story .
- « A
lot of fanservice scenes from the first episode, which is correct. But it
will inevitably be compared to “My Dress-Up Darling . ”
- « The
story in “My Dress-Up Darling” is better structured ».
- " They
also do the cosplay creation part well ."
- " They
have cut almost all the erotic content from the manga ."
- « They
said this would be the next “My Dress-Up Darling”, but they are nothing
alike ».
- « Now
I understand that what “My Dress-Up Darling” was holding was Gojo-kun ».
- « I
stopped reading the original manga because the drawing was very bad, but
the anime is quite watchable .»
- « I
think “My Dress-Up Darling” is too intense ».
- « It
seems that not many here know about the cosplay events that take place
every month .»
- « They
said it would be the next “My Dress-Up Darling”, but it only shares the
cosplay element, it's not the same. It's more for gentlemen .
- " It's
a manga that overcame its initial bad reputation with erotic content, so
it will probably continue to emphasize that in the anime ."
