During a special event it was announced that the
anime adaptation of the light novels written by Kurokata and
illustrated by KeG , “ The
Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic ( Chiyu Mahou no Machigatta
Tsukaikata )”, will have a second season. The statement did not reveal
a scheduled release date or production details.

- Congratulations
on the decision to produce the second season of “The Wrong Way to Use
Healing Magic”! I am very excited to see the story of Usato and the others
again in anime format, and to see how the new characters that will appear
in this second season will develop. Having had the opportunity for a
second season is thanks to everyone who has supported this work, as well
as the staff who have been involved in “The Wrong Way to Use Healing
Magic.” To meet everyone's expectations, I myself will prepare and work
harder.
The novels began to be published in 2014 in web
format on the Shousetsuka ni Narou site . From 2016 to 2020,
the physical formats of the novels were published by the Media Factory label
of the Kadokawa publishing
house , with a total of twelve volumes. The novels have been adapted to manga
since 2017, which is published in the magazine Comp Ace .
The first season had a total of thirteen
episodes and was produced by Shin-Ei Animation studios in
collaboration with Studio Add , and premiered in Winter-2024
(January-March) .
Synopsis of The Wrong Way to Use Healing
Magic
Ken Usato is a normal high school
student in every sense of the word: average grades, dreams, and a tendency to
dislike extraordinary people. However, when he meets the president and vice
president of the student council, both popular and extraordinary, he quickly
becomes friends with them. All of this is interrupted when Ken's new friends
are summoned to another world... and he is accidentally summoned too!
Dejected and with no way to return, he
resigns himself to staying quietly in the new world... until he discovers that
he has an affinity for healing magic, a very rare form of magic that gives him
self-confidence and the attention of all wizards. However, not all attention is
good, something Ken realizes when a crazy fellow healing magic user notices
him...
