The latest chapter of “ Jujutsu Kaisen ” has generated a wave of criticism among Japanese fans due to the way the final battle against Ryomen Sukuna and his apparent final death was resolved. This chapter also marked the long-awaited return of Megumi Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki to the main trio. However, many feel that the resolution in just two chapters turned out to be too rushed and lacking the expected impact.

Fan comments on social media reflect a mix of surprise and disappointment. One user expressed, “
Jujutsu Kaisen, the atmosphere was ‘In just 5 chapters everything is going to be resolved?!’, but suddenly it has become ‘What are they going to do in the next 3 chapters?! ’ ” This comment highlights confusion and concern about the accelerated pace at which the final events are being handled.

Another user mentioned, “ Sukuna, in the end, ended very simply .” This suggests that the final showdown against Sukuna did not meet many fans’ expectations in terms of excitement and narrative development. Additionally, there were observations about the use of sorcery in the final showdown, with one comment highlighting, “ In the flashback to the showdown between Hakari and Uraume, everyone is resurrected by Takaba’s magic spell after dying, and Zenin Naoya is revived by some mistake .”

The quickening of the pace was also reflected in the discussion of the impact and aftermath of the battle. Some fans indicated that “ I wouldn’t be surprised if, in the next chapter, we see a quick transition to the closure of the story, showing the characters and how they adapt after the final battle .”

The plot is also receiving criticism for not adequately addressing certain elements, such as the new type of cursed energy and its implications globally. One fan commented, “ I wonder how the issue regarding the new cursed energy that came to America, and the ‘overcoming of cursed energy’ that was mentioned but not resolved, will be handled .”

Finally, some reviews suggest that the story may be moving into a new phase, with observations such as: “ It is likely that the next arc will usher in a new stage in the series with the appearance of Tengen and the transition to a second part .” Criticism reflects widespread concern over the way the series’ climax has been handled, with many fans expressing that the resolution did not live up to expectations generated by the previous plot development.

  • « Jujutsu Kaisen, the atmosphere was 'In just 5 chapters everything is going to be resolved?! ', but suddenly it has become 'What are they going to do in the next 3 chapters?! »

  • « The author Akutami-sensei is amazing, he is collecting all the ideas that are above the speculations on the internet .»

  • « In the memory of the confrontation between Hakari and Uraume, everyone is revived by Takaba's magic spell after dying. Zenin Naoya is revived by some mistake »

  • « Sukuna finished very easily in the end .»

  • « I remember experiencing the same feeling of 'What will they do in the next 4 chapters?!' → 'It's going to be over in 3 chapters?!' → 'What will they do in 2 chapters?!' during the 'Death War' arc, so I wouldn't be surprised if something similar happens here . »

  • « I really think the author is capable of creating a story in a single chapter that spans from the Heian Period to the Okkotsu Arc. Although this is just a wish »

  • « I'm curious to see how they'll handle the issue of the new cursed energy that arrived in America. Also, although the 'escape of the cursed energy' that Kizuki mentioned didn't come to pass, will the story end with 'our fight continues'? »

  • « They should describe the impact of revealing the existence of the curses to the public. Also, considering that the US military was deployed and many curses devoured people, it seems dangerous if they cannot control the situation. Energy problems are discussed all over the world, and if there is no control of the information, it could lead to a war. Okkotsu could solve the problem on a national level .»

  • « The next chapter will show who died and who survived, then the epilogue will deal with the resolution of the 'Death War', and the ending could jump several years to show the future of the characters, or it could jump 70 years to show the end of Itadori .»

  • « This is why they should definitely introduce Tengen fused with ordinary people at the end, and start the second part of the series .»
