A press release listed that Lim Kyung-bae and Kwon
Soon-kyu ’s webtoon “ Latna Saga: Survival of a Sword King ” is getting an
anime adaptation that will begin production this year. According to the
release, this project will be made by Pierrot Studios in collaboration
with South Korean studios Red Dog Culture House , who have signed a
long-term partnership to produce anime adaptations of various IPs.
As for future projects, both companies are considering
adaptations of both popular Japanese manga and original Korean webtoons to
continue their expansion. Red Dog Culture House CEO Bae Giyon
expressed his excitement for this collaboration, noting that “this is an
invaluable opportunity to showcase our skills and we are excited to kick off
this partnership with an original work like ‘Latna Saga: The Sword King.'”
Meanwhile, Pierrot President Nobuhiro Ueda shared his
admiration for the Red Dog Culture House team, stating, “ Upon
meeting RDCH and seeing the quality of their productions, I was impressed by
the dedication of CEO Bae and his team. We are working together to make ‘Latna
Saga: The Sword King’ an outstanding animation. We hope that fans around the
world will look forward to seeing the result! ”
This collaboration between Japan and South Korea will
mark a milestone in the anime industry, especially by combining the talents of
two major producers of animated content, offering projects that will
attract a global audience and expand the boundaries of animation for years to
come.
Synopsis of Latna Saga: The Sword King
