The official site for the anime adaptation of Hifumi
Asakura ’s light novels , “ The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged
Online Shopper in Another World (Around 40
Otoko no Isekai Tsuuhan Seikatsu)”, revealed the second promotional video for
the project. The video confirms that the premiere is scheduled for
January 9, 2025 in Japan , and shows a snippet of the ending theme
song, titled “ Love Craft ” and performed by Kiminone .
For her part, Hifumi Asakura began
publishing the story through the independent service Shousetsuka ni
Narou in 2017, and finished it in June 2021. Later, the
publisher SB Creative published it in
paper with illustrations by Tamakawa in May 2018, and a manga
adaptation by Umiharu has been published through the Monthly
G Fantasy magazine of the publisher Square Enix since
April 2019.
Synopsis of The Daily Life of a Middle-Aged Online
Shopper in Another World
The story of a middle-aged man who does whatever he
wants with the power of 1-click online shopping. Kenichi, a single man in his
40s, is transported to another world for no apparent reason. While trying to
escape a dangerous forest infested with monsters, he realizes that he has the
power to access a huge online store. Using this power to exchange the products
he finds in this new world for cash, and then buying more modern ones online,
he is able to quickly build a very popular business. However, his goal is to
live a slow and leisurely life. Instead of growing his business further, he
decides to settle down and live off the power of Jeff Bezos. The mail order
life of a middle-aged man in another world begins now!
