The Mono girls surprise with another trailer

We recently reported that the manga " Mono ," written and illustrated by Afro , also the author of " Yuru Camp ," would be adapted into an anime. At that time, the press release showed us the first promotional video and some basic details about the production team, but many questions still remained (previous news).

Now, following the airing of the third episode this weekend, a second new main trailer for the television series has been revealed. The anime began airing in Japan on April 13, 2025, and is expected to have a total of 12 episodes. The new trailer highlights scenes from the first two episodes, showcasing the Film Photo Club's everyday adventures in various local locations, as well as giving a glimpse into some scenes from future episodes.

Additionally, more production team members working on the adaptation were revealed. Ryota Aikei (assistant director on "Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2") is directing the series, while Takuya Miyahara ("Frederica," "Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie") is in charge of character designs, and Yoko Yonaiyama ("A Sign of Affection") is the main scriptwriter. Animation production is being handled by Soigne Studio.

With each new trailer, "Mono" promises to continue delivering the endearing, relaxed stories that characterize Afro's style. We'll definitely be keeping an eye on how this charming adaptation develops!

  • The original manga " Mono " is a 4-comedy series written and illustrated by Afro, also known as the creator of " Laid-Back Camp ". The series first serialized in Houbunsha 's Manga Time Kirara Miracle! magazine on May 16, 2017, before moving to Manga Time Kirara Carat on December 28, 2017. As of April 2024, four compiled book volumes of the series have been published, with a fifth volume announced for release on June 26, 2025.

  • Crunchyroll is streaming the "Mono" anime internationally. Its official synopsis describes how Satsuki Amamiya, discouraged by the graduation of her high school's Photography Club president, receives support from her best friend An Kiriyama to dedicate herself to the new Filmmaking Club. The story follows the two as they search for a missing camera, meet new friends, and capture stunning photos and videos along the way.
