The second
season of the anime DAN DA DAN , adapted from Yukinobu Tatsu 's
manga , is preparing for its grand return with a cinematic screening
titled DAN DA DAN: EVIL EYE . This special feature will show
the first three episodes before their official television
premiere.
The distributor GKIDS has recently released two official trailers for this premiere: one with English dubbing and another with English subtitles , further raising expectations among anime fans.

Season 2
arrives on television on July 3
The second
season of DAN DA DAN will premiere on July 3, 2025 in
Japan within the Super Animeism Turbo block of the MBS and TBS channels ,
at a time yet to be confirmed.
The series
will also be available on streaming platforms such as Crunchyroll,
Netflix, ADN, Hulu, and Muse , allowing fans to follow the anime from
the day it premieres.
A
creative team that returns with force
Production
will once again be directed by Science SARU , with Fūga
Yamashiro and Abel Góngora directing. The main cast
returns, and Mutsumi Tamura joins the cast to play Evil
Eye (Jashi) .
The first
season aired on October 3, 2023 , and consisted of 12
episodes . It was directed by Fūga Yamashiro and
written by Hiroshi Seko (Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen), with
music by noted composer Kensuke Ushio .
The character designs were handled by Naoyuki Onda , while Yoshimichi Kameda was in charge of creating the supernatural creatures. The opening theme song " Otokone " was performed by Creepy Nuts , and the ending theme song " TAIDADA " was performed by ZUTOMAYO .
A mix of
romance, comedy and paranormal phenomena
The story
revolves around Momo , a high school student from a family of
mediums, and Okarun , a classmate obsessed with the
paranormal. After an unexpected encounter, the two embark on an adventure to
prove the existence of ghosts and aliens .
Facing
inexplicable events, Momo awakens a hidden power, and Okarun is possessed by a
curse. Together, they must survive a world filled with supernatural forces,
while their romantic bond begins to blossom .
Previous
success in theaters and manga progress
DAN DA
DAN's first theatrical screening, titled First Encounter ,
took place in September and grossed over $1 million in the
United States during its limited run.
The
manga continues to be published on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ platform and has now
reached 19 volumes , with the most recent released on April
4 . In the English-speaking market, Viz Media has
published up to volume 12, available since April 1 .
