The
manga Go! Go! Loser Ranger! ( Sentai Daishikkaku ),
by Negi Haruba , will go on hiatus again starting next Tuesday,
May 14 , according to the 23rd issue of this year's Weekly
Shōnen Magazine by Kodansha. The reason is once again the author's
delicate health , as he had already had to suspend serialization due
to illness in February.
The manga
is scheduled to resume publication on Tuesday, June 11 ,
coinciding with the magazine's 28th issue.
A story
that breaks the mold of the sentai genre
Released in
February 2021, Go! Go! Loser Ranger! breaks away from the typical
heroes-versus-villains tale. Thirteen years ago, the Monster Army invaded
Earth, and the Divine Dragon Rangers emerged as humanity's
last hope. However, after defeating the invaders in just one year, the Rangers
forced the surviving monsters to participate in weekly shows to
maintain their popularity.
But one of
these monsters is no longer willing to pretend. He plans to infiltrate
the enemy ranks and destroy the Rangers from within.
This
narrative twist has managed to attract both fans of classic shōnen and those
seeking stories with a more critical and original approach to heroism.
The
anime continues to air worldwide
Despite the
manga's recent hiatus, the Go! Go! Loser Ranger! universe continues to expand
thanks to its anime adaptation. The first season premiered in
April 2024 on Japanese channel TBS and its 27 affiliates,
while the second season began on April 13. Both are
available worldwide on Disney+ and on Hulu in
North America.
With the
anime now in full swing and its story gaining traction, fans will only have to
wait a few more weeks to enjoy the manga again. Of course, the most important
thing is that Negi Haruba can fully recover and continue surprising us with
this action-packed satire full of unexpected twists.
