The
long-awaited anime Silent Witch , based on the
light novels by Matsuri Isora and illustrated by Nanna
Fujimi , has confirmed the participation of renowned voice
actress MAO in the role of Rynzbelfeid ,
better known as “ Ryn ”, the familiar spirit that
accompanies Louis .

Production
company Aniplex has opted for a striking promotional strategy:
announcing a new cast member every Saturday. This time, the focus is on MAO ,
who will play the mysterious and charismatic Ryn.

The project
is led by Takaomi Kanasaki (known for KonoSuba and Princess
Connect! Re:Dive ), who not only serves as general director, but is
also in charge of the script, narrative supervision, and sound direction. Yasuo
Iwamoto is directing the animation, produced by Studio Gokumi .
From the
literary world to the screen
The
original story was born in February 2020 on the Shōsetsuka
ni Narō platform , and was officially published by Kadokawa in June
2021 . The main series already has nine volumes , and
the tenth will arrive this summer. In addition, there is a prequel titled Silent
Witch -another- Kekkai no Majutsushi no Nariagari , whose second
and final installment came out in April 2024 .
On the
visual side, Tobi Tana is in charge of the manga adaptation,
published since July 2021 in B's-LOG COMIC magazine ,
with five compiled volumes to date. There is also a manga version of the
prequel, released in January 2024 through the ComicWalker service
.
A silent
witch with a great mission
Distributed
in the West by Yen Press under the title Secrets of
the Silent Witch , the story follows Monica Everett ,
the only mage capable of using Voiceless Magic . Though hailed
as a hero for defeating a legendary dragon, Monica is actually extremely shy
and learned this magical technique solely to avoid public speaking. Unbeknownst
to her, she is assigned by the Seven Sages to a dangerous
mission: to protect the Second Prince while dealing with her
social anxiety… and dark threats.
