Alice in
Anime: An Inexhaustible Source of Inspiration
The
novel Alice in Wonderland has been a constant influence on
multiple art forms, including anime, manga, and video games. First
published in the nineteenth century, the original work narrates the adventures
of a girl who falls down a rabbit hole and enters a world full of absurd logic,
eccentric characters and surreal situations.
The story
had previously been adapted into anime format by Nippon Animation and Apollo
Film between 1983 and 1984. With this new film, Dive in
Wonderland promises to offer a fresh and emotional take on a timeless
classic.
