The anime
adaptation of Yūgo Kobayashi's Fermat no Ryōri manga
has released a new promotional video revealing its opening
theme. The song is titled "Maillard" and will be performed
by soloist OSHIKIKEIGO.
Premiere date and broadcast details
The anime
will premiere in Japan on Saturday, July 5 at 11:30 p.m. (UTC+2), within
the IMAnimation television block of the TV Asahi network
and its affiliates. The production is in charge of the Domerica studio,
which also supervises the composition and script of the series.
An anime
that mixes math and cooking
The story
follows Gaku Kitada, a young math prodigy who, after seeing his
dream of becoming a mathematician thwarted, meets Kai Asakura, a
chef with exceptional talent. Together, they embark on a new adventure in the
world of gastronomy, where numbers also have flavor.

Staff
The
direction of the anime is in the hands of Takeshi Okamoto and Satsuki
Kashiwagi, while Miyuki Kaieda acts as deputy director.
The music is composed by Satoshi Igarashi and the artistic
design is by Mari Takada. The closing song, titled "Change
Over," will be performed by the six-member boyband DXTEEN.

the original work
The Fermat
no Ryōri manga began publication in September 2018 in Kodansha's Monthly
Shonen Magazine. To date, it has five compilation volumes and has
exceeded 23 million copies in circulation. Its author, Yūgo
Kobayashi, is also known for his work on Aoashi.
