The
production of anime Kamitsubaki City Under Construction shared
a new promotional trailer the past Friday, May 31,
in which you can hear an advance of its opening theme entitled “
Utahime ” ( Song of the diva ), performed by the virtual group V.W.P
( Virtual Witch Phenomenon ).
Furthermore,
it was confirmed that the actor Hikaru Midorikawa he will join
the cast giving voice to a mysterious character still undisclosed.
Release
date and early screening in theaters
The anime
will be released in Japan on Wednesday, July 3 at 11:56 p.m. ( UTC + 9
), which is equivalent to 16:56 hours ( UTC + 2 ) in
Spain, through the chain TBS and 27 other affiliated channels.
The platform Crunchyroll will transmit it globally in regions
such as Europe, America, Africa and the Middle East.
In
anticipation of the television premiere, a special version titled Kamitsubaki
City Under Construction Witch's Daughter -Witchling- in Japanese
theaters from May 31 for a limited period of two weeks.
An
expanded universe and a cast full of talent
The project
has a large production led by Kamitsubaki Studio and PIEDPIPER,
with Sōki Tsukishima in charge of world development, original
history and general supervision. Management is in the hands of Kōdai
Kakimoto (BanG Dream!), under study SMDE.
Character
design is carried out by PALOW., while members of V.W.P not
only do they interpret the main themes of the anime, but they also give life to
the protagonists:
- KAF as Kaf Morisaki, an
average student who loves to sing above all else.
- RIM as Rime Tanioki, a
perfect girl in every way: studies, sports and singing.
- Harusaruhi as Haru Asanushi,
energetic and happy thanks to the power of music and friendship.
- Isekaijoucho as Sekai Yorukawa,
naive but determined.
- KOKO as Koko Rinne,
sweet and very loyal to her friends.
They also
add Ayane Sakura as Laplus, Miyu Tomita as Until, Yōhei
Azakami as Aguni, Shūichirō Umeda as Anemosu, Mai
Tōdō as Kūgeru and Shizuka Itō like
the Reconstruction Manager.
Kamitsubaki:
a virtual city with multiple dimensions
The anime
explores the hidden mysteries in Kamitsubaki City, a virtual
metropolis plunged into chaos. Through its protagonists, the objective is restore
order and peace in this digital city.
Since
2019, Kamitsubaki Studio has developed this universe with the
active participation of more than 20,000 users through
experiences of alternate reality games and table role
plays.
Transmedia
expansion: novels, video games and more
The project
has multiple adaptations:
- The novel Kamitsubaki-Shi
Kensetsu-chū. NOVELIZED, written by Sōki Tsukishima and
illustrated by Sakinoji, the May 23.
- The rhythm game Kamitsubaki
City Ensemble is now available at iOS, Android, PC,
Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5.
- The visual novel Kamitsubaki
City Regenerate launched the March 13 and
shares history with his counterpart in virtual reality.
- Also in development Kamitsubaki
Gakuen Shimbunbu, another visual novel for Steam.
- And the game Girls
Made Pudding came to Nintendo Switch and PC the

With a
constantly expanding universe and a unique proposal that mixes music,

shaping up to be one of the most ambitious bets in current Japanese animation.
