Doorzo is a shopping proxy service
in Japan aimed
at international customers, in other words, it acts as an intermediary
so that you can buy products from Japanese stores that don't normally ship
overseas. But with Doorzo you can buy in Japan from Latin America
and Spain.
Doorzo is
officially partnered with multiple popular platforms from Japan (more than 100
sites) such as Mercari, Rakuten, Lashinbang, Yahoo! Japan (store and
auctions), Jump Shop, Animate, among many others.
Through
Doorzo it is possible to purchase both new and second-hand items
(e.g. anime figures, trading cards, clothing, electronics, etc.), enjoying
direct international shipments. In addition to direct purchases, Doorzo allows
you to participate in online auctions through a 24-hour
automated bidding system, so you don't miss the opportunity to win items from
Yahoo! Auctions or other auction platforms, a kind of Japanese eBay.
When using
Doorzo, you don't need to understand Japanese completely, as
the platform offers instant built-in translation, overcoming the language
barrier when searching for products. It also offers perks like free
60-day storage in your warehouse, consolidation of multiple purchases
into a single shipment, flexible global shipping options,
secure payment methods, and a multilingual support team. In short, Doorzo
provides a one-stop solution for shopping in Japan easily and
safely, from finding the item to delivering it to your doorstep, but let's take
it step by step.
for Japan proxy service Doorzo
Before you
can buy, you'll need to create a Doorzo account. The registration process
is straightforward. Just follow these steps:
- Access the registry: Go to the official Doorzo
site (or download the mobile app) and click "Sign Up."
- Fill in your details: Provide a valid email and
create a strong password. Doorzo will send you a verification
code to your email.
- Verify your account: Enter the confirmation
code you received to activate your account. And that's it! You
will now have your account created.
As an
additional recommendation, once registered, go to your profile settings and
fill in your shipping address. Be sure to enter your full
name (as it appears on your ID), the exact address with
zip code, and a contact phone number (with country code).
Having this data in order will speed up the process when you make purchases and
manage the shipment of your orders.
Find the
best products from Japan
Once
registered, you can start searching for Japanese products of
your interest. Doorzo makes this easy in several ways:
- Search bar: On the main page, you'll
find a search bar where you can type in the name or keywords of the
article you're looking for. The platform has automatic translation,
so even if you write in Spanish/English, Doorzo will translate the terms
into Japanese to find relevant results. (Tip: If you know
the product name in Japanese, use it for more accurate results.)*
- Integrated categories and
stores: Doorzo
organizes items by categories (anime figures, fashion, electronics, etc.)
and also allows you to filter by the source store. For example, you can
explore specific listings from Mercari, Amazon Japan, Rakuten, and more.
Simply browse through the sections or use the filters to focus on a
specific store or category.
- Auctions (Yahoo! Auctions
Japan): If
you're interested in auctions, Doorzo also helps you get involved. You can
search for auctioned items on Yahoo! Auctions or other Japanese auction
platforms. When you find a product at auction, Doorzo allows you to bid
through its system. Bidding is automatic and real-time 24/7 –
you set your maximum bid and Doorzo will manage it, increasing your bid as
needed to try to win, without you having to keep an eye on it around the
clock. This ensures that you don't lose your desired treasures due to time
differences.
Once you
find the desired item, click on it to see more details: description, price (in
yen, which the platform usually displays in your currency as well), condition
(new/used), seller, seller ratings, etc. Carefully review the product and
seller information, especially in second-hand purchases or auctions, as Doorzo
does not allow you to cancel an order once it has been placed (the
service simply acts as an intermediary, so purchases are final upon
confirmation).
Buying in Japan from abroad
Once you've
decided to purchase an item, the checkout process on Doorzo is
as follows:
- Add to cart: On the product page,
click "Add to Cart." You can continue browsing and
add several items from different stores; Doorzo allows you to combine them
in the same cart.
- Check the cart: When you're ready to
purchase, click on the cart icon to view the added items.
Verify that the specifications (size, color, quantity, etc.) and prices
are correct. In this step, Doorzo will show you a cost summary for each
item. Note that Doorzo doesn't charge a commission for the proxy
purchase itself (i.e., it doesn't add an extra fee for serving as
an intermediary); you will only pay the price of the item as it appears,
plus internal shipping in Japan if applicable. (In fact, by not
charging the typical 200-300 yen commission for other services, you're
saving that amount.)
- Additional options (optional): Doorzo offers extra
services at checkout. For example, you can request that once the item
arrives at your warehouse, Doorzo staff take inspection
photographs of the product for a small additional fee. You can
also indicate whether you want to keep the seller's original
packaging or prefer to consolidate everything into one package
(useful if you buy multiple items). Select your preferred options
before proceeding.
- Payment: Choose your payment
method and complete your purchase. Doorzo accepts credit cards (multiple
brands) and PayPal as primary payment methods,
securely. (In certain countries they may offer local methods;
for example, users in some regions report options such as
e-wallets.) ) Enter the required payment details and
confirm the payment. Once the transaction is authorized, your order will
be confirmed.
After
checkout, Doorzo will purchase the item on your behalf from the relevant
Japanese store. You will receive a confirmation that the order was placed. At
this point, the wait begins for the seller in Japan to ship the product
to Doorzo's warehouse in that country.
Receive
your orders from Japan in Latin America and Spain
First of
all, you don't have to worry, Doorzo has a shipping cost calculator from Japan.
After
completing the purchase and payment of the item, the process continues like
this:
- Reception at Doorzo warehouse: The Japanese seller will
ship your product to Doorzo's facility in Japan. This procedure usually
takes a few days; for example, on Mercari sellers typically ship
within 7 days of purchase. Doorzo will notify you (via
the platform and/or email) when the item has arrived at its
warehouse. You'll be able to see the status on your user dashboard,
usually marked "In Warehouse" or similar.
- Consolidation of multiple
orders: If
you've purchased multiple items (perhaps from different stores), Doorzo
allows you to consolidate them all into one international
package. You can take advantage of up to 60 days of free storage to
accumulate multiple items before sending them together. Package
consolidation on Doorzo is free for your first 10 orders, which is a big
plus (other proxies often charge for this service). During consolidation,
staff will check your items, group everything neatly, and add extra
protection for fragile items or battery-powered electronics if needed.
- Selecting an International
Shipping Method: The
good thing about this proxy is that you can buy in Japan, from Mexico,
Argentina or anywhere in Latin America. Once you have one or more items
ready in the warehouse (consolidation done if applicable), you can
request shipping to your country. Doorzo offers several
international shipping methods to choose from. For example, options
via Japan Post (priority EMS, registered package,
Airmail, Surface mail) or other private messaging depending on the region.
Each method will vary in cost and delivery time. From your account, choose
the method you prefer for your package, considering speed vs. price. This
step will calculate the cost of international shipping, which
you will need to pay for the package to be dispatched. (Doorzo
typically displays the weight/volume of the consolidated package and rates
for each available shipping option.) You can also add services
such as extra bubble packing for extra protection, for a
small fee.
- Shipping and tracking: After paying for
shipping, Doorzo will prepare your package for international shipping.
When the package leaves the warehouse, you will be provided with a tracking
number. You'll be able to find this number in the Doorzo order
center once it's generated, and use it on the carrier's site or
in universal tools like 17Track to track the journey to your home. Doorzo
will update the status of the order to "Shipped" and from there
you can follow the journey (example: departure from Japan, arrival at
customs in your country, in delivery, etc.). Depending on the method
chosen, final delivery can take anywhere from a few days (EMS/DHL express)
to several weeks (economy shipments).
Finally,
you will receive the package at the address you provided. Purchase completed!
Have your ID handy in case the parcel asks for it upon delivery. Enjoy your
items purchased in Japan, now in your hands.
Support
and additional features
Doorzo not
only takes care of the purchase and shipping, but also provides additional
features to enhance your experience:
- Customer Support: You have a support
service ready to help you at all times. Doorzo has a professional
and multilingual support team, so you can communicate in languages such
as English, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified/Traditional), etc.
If you have any questions or problems, you can contact them via chat on
the app/website, email, or other channels provided. The support team
responds quickly to both pre-purchase inquiries (e.g., questions about a
product or process) and post-purchase issues (tracking a shipment, help
with incidents), ensuring a worry-free shopping experience.
- Mobile App: Doorzo is available via
web browser and also as a mobile app (Android/iOS). The app offers instant
notifications (useful for letting you know when a package arrives at the
warehouse or when there are offers) and a convenient interface to search
and manage your orders from your phone. It works similarly to the website,
with the same search, cart, and tracking functionalities.
- Offers, Coupons & Points: To make your shopping
more attractive, Doorzo frequently launches discount coupons and
promotions. New users often receive welcome coupons, and frequent users
see weekly coupons for different platforms. For example, they may offer a
coupon that covers 200-300 yen of your shipping fee or a discount at
certain stores, which can be applied at checkout to save
money. In addition, Doorzo has a Doorzo Points system:
sometimes for logging in daily or completing purchases you receive small
credits (such as ¥1, ¥3 and so on) that accumulate and can be used to
discount part of the international shipping cost on future orders. These
rewards and promotions make using Doorzo even more convenient in the long
run.
- Safety and reliability: All transactions on
Doorzo are secure; the site/app uses reliable payment methods (cards and
PayPal) and encrypted connections. Doorzo only acts as a purchase
intermediary, so it always shows transparency in costs (original prices of
the products, reasonable exchange rates when charging in your currency,
etc.). It doesn't ship packages to addresses within Japan (it's focused on
international buyers), so its logistics are optimized for overseas
shipments. Many users have reported positive and reliable experiences with
the service, considering it legitimate to buy from Japanese stores that
are difficult to access directly. As long as you follow the guidelines
(review product descriptions, follow restrictions on prohibited items for
international shipping, etc.), Doorzo is a safe tool for shopping in
Japan.
