The
long-awaited Japanese dub of the fantasy donghua The All-devouring
Whale: Homecoming has today confirmed the addition of three new actors
to the main cast. The series will premiere on Japanese television on July
2, and the new members are:

A story
of betrayal, reincarnation and revenge
Based
on Mo's original play, this adaptation is produced by Fuji
Television and bilibili. The Japanese version is directed
by Taisuke Hinata, with a script translated by Reiko Torii and
sound production by Tohokushinsha Film Corporation.
In this
story, Fan Lingxiao is a talented spirit pet master of
the Lingxiao Sect, who is betrayed during a sect-to-cult
competition and eaten by his own creature, the whale Kun. Upon waking, he finds
himself in the body of Liu Fengmang, a young man locked up in
the Bai Residence. With his sect on the verge of collapse, Fan will
lead a new adventure alongside his companions Gu Ling, Cheng
Xi, and Yue Tong to uncover the truth and restore the
honor of his legacy.
