The
Kaya-chan Wa Kowakunai anime production team revealed its first promotional
video, along with the names of the cast cast and the key members of the staff.
This adaptation of Yuritaro manga promises a unique mixture of supernatural
comedy, comedy and horror.
The series
will be starring Azusa Tachibana in the role of Kaya-chan, an adorable
appearance girl but with surprising paranormal skills, and Maaya Uchida as
Chie-Sensei, the teacher who discovers her secret.
A team with
experience in the supernatural and comedy
The address
will be in charge of Hiroshi Ikehata (365 Days to the Wedding, Kirathto PRI ☆ Chan), under the production of the East Fish
Studio study. The script is supervised by Shigeru Murakoshi, known for his work
in Zombie Land Saga and Ninja Kamui. The characters design will be in the hands
of Tarō Yamada and Hiroyuki Moriguchi,
while the music will be borne by Kohta Yamamoto and Shun Narita. The sound
address will be in charge of Yukio Nagasaki.
Who is
Kaya-chan and why isn't it as sweet as it seems?
Kaya-chan
is known as the "problematic girl" of the kindergarten, but what
nobody knows is that she possesses the ability to see evil spirits. However,
far from being scared, this five -year -old girl faces them ... Clean punch!
Only her new teacher, Chie-Sensei, will discover the truth after her strange
behavior.
Behind each
crossing hides an attempt to help those who cannot see the hidden. With this
unusual approach, the story offers a balance between child tenderness,
supernatural action and dark humor.
From manga
to the screen: a successful success
The manga
has been published since April 2022 on the Kurange Bunch site in Shinchosha. To
date, it already has six published volumes, and the seventh will go on sale on
June 9 in Japan. Seven Seas Entertainment Graduated the Manga in English, and
launched the first volume on April 29.
With an
unconventional premise and a talented cast, Kaya-chan Wa Kowakunai is emerging
as one of the most refreshing proposals within the supernatural genre. The
exact date of premiere has not yet been confirmed, but manga fans and new
spectators already wait for this story that promises to be as fun as chilling.
