The Shy Hero and the Assassin Princesses Reveals New Video

The long-awaited anime adaptation of the manga The Shy Hero and the Assassin Princesses (Kizetsu Yūsha to Ansatsu Hime), created by Norishiro-chan and illustrated by Yukiji Setsuda, has revealed a new promotional video that includes a sneak peek of the opening theme song "Tenden Barabara," performed by Yoshino. The announcement was made this Saturday through the official website of the series.



In addition to the opening theme, a second video was also presented showing the closing theme "Suki Magazine", performed by the voice actresses of the protagonists: Iori Saeki (Ciel), Hitomi Ueda (Anemone) and Haruka Shiraishi (Gore), who are part of the trio of assassins who accompany the hero Toto.



Release dates and confirmed platforms


The anime will premiere in advance and for free in Japan through the ABEMA streaming service on July 5 at 11:00 p.m. (local time), which corresponds to 4:00 p.m. in Spain (UTC+2). Subsequently, it will begin its television broadcast on Tokyo MX and Sun TV on July 12 at 10:30 p.m. (3:30 p.m. in Spain), and later on BS11 and Tochigi TV. Crunchyroll will stream the series simultaneously internationally.


A story of deception, friendship and many surprises


The story follows Toto, an incredibly powerful hero, but also extremely shy, making it difficult for him to form a group of companions. However, one day, three beautiful young women—CielAnemone, and Gore—approach him to join their group. What Toto doesn't know is that these girls actually have a hidden goal: to assassinate him.


A creative team with experience in the genre


Production is in the hands of the CONNECT studio, with Noriaki Akitaya (known for Bakuman. and The Unwanted Undead Adventurer) directing. The scripts are written by Michiko Yokote (ShirobakoTsurune), while the character design is in charge of Takao Sano. The music is provided by Shun Narita, providing the right tone to this action comedy with dark overtones.


The manga debuted in October 2022 in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine, which published the 11th compilation volume on April 8. The play has gained notoriety for its mix of humor, action, and unpredictable situations.
