The
animated adaptation of the manga April Showers Bring May Flowers,
by Roku Sakura, has shared an emotional uncredited sequence of its
ending. The anime debuted in Japan on July 4, and now fans can
enjoy the closing of each episode accompanied by the song "Souvenir," performed
by the group GLASGOW.
The
uncredited sequence highlights the nostalgic and sentimental tone of the
series, in perfect harmony with the melancholic melody of the musical theme,
thus reinforcing the romantic and reflective style of this story.

volumes. Currently, Yen Press distributes the English

What is
April Showers Bring May Flowers about?
The story
revolves around Hana Tabata, a girl who sees herself as a mere
"secondary character" in the lives of others. Even though her name
means "flower," she doesn't feel like one. He prefers to observe from
afar and enjoy romantic mangas, imagining a different life... until one day,
the most popular boy in her class surprises her while she is fantasizing awake.
Far from
mocking, he keeps his secret and begins to engage in daily conversations with
her. Although Hana is suspicious, she can't help but wonder: what if
this time, the protagonist of the story is her?
With this
uncredited ending sequence, April Showers Bring May Flowers not
only cements its mellow, melancholic aesthetic, but promises to be one of the
standout romances of the season.
