Houbunsha's Manga Time magazine
announced in its August issue that the manga Re-Kan!, the work
of Hinako Seta, will end in the next issue that will come out
on August 7, 2025. This latest issue will feature the magazine's
main cover and an opening color page.
A story
between the real world and the supernatural
Re-Kan! revolves around Hibiki
Amami, a young woman capable of seeing ghosts and paranormal phenomena in
her environment. The series narrates his daily life, intertwining moments with
his friends and encounters with beings from the beyond.
The manga
began as a one-shot in 2009 in the publication Manga Time Jumbo,
and then became a regular series in 2010. Following the closure of Manga
Time Jumbo, Re-Kan! moved to Manga Time in
March 2018. On January 7, 2025, the 15th compiled volume was released.
Animated
adaptation and legacy that has been built
In
2015, Re-Kan! received a 13-episode television adaptation that
premiered in Japan in April. While it was airing, Crunchyroll offered
the series on streaming, and Sentai Filmworks licensed it for
North America, distributing it on DVD and Blu-ray.
