What is
Sword of the Demon Hunter about?
The anime,
which premiered on March 31 and can be seen in simulcast
through HIDIVE, immerses us in a supernatural
historical fantasy. Set in the Edo era, it tells the story of Itsukihime,
a shrine maiden in the mountain village of Kadono, and Jinta, a
wandering orphan who together with his younger sister Suzune grows up under
their protection.
When a
mysterious demon that speaks of the future and the threat of a Demon
God appears, Jinta ventures into the forest to confront him, thus beginning
a journey that will cross centuries of history, from the Edo
era to the Heisei, while reflecting on the weight of wielding his sword.
