Houbunsha's Manga
Time Kirara magazine confirmed in its August issue that Mako
Hisamaku's manga Ichijōma Mankitsu Gurashi! (translated
as "Living Large in a Room on a Single Tatami!"), by Mako Hisamaku,
will be adapted into an anime format for television. The work is
published regularly in Manga Time Kirara magazine, and
its fourth compilation volume will go on sale on July
26.
A new
life with unconventional rules
This brown
manga comedy with a spicy twist follows the story of Meiko
Morita, a country girl who moves to Tokyo in hopes of entering a
prestigious all-female academy. In exchange for a full scholarship in
exchange for volunteer work, she ends up living and working at Hedgehog,
a peculiar brown manga that doubles as a dormitory for girls.
Characters
as unique as they are fun
During her
stay in Hedgehog, Meiko meets a number of eccentric characters who bring this
crazy comedy to life:
- Rie Amamiya: Wealthy heiress, fan of yuri
manga and boys-love, who acts as the administrator of the café and the
dormitory.
- Marika Suzuki: A popular streamer on "MuTube"
known as Marica Belltree.
- Neo Nakano: a professional gamer who
competes in global tournaments.
