The Magilumiere
Magical Girls Inc. anime officially confirmed that it will have
a second season, which is scheduled to premiere sometime in 2026.
The announcement was accompanied by a new visual teaser, although
no further details about the content of this sequel have been revealed at the
moment.
The
announcement coincides with the publication of the final chapter of the
original manga on the Shonen Jump+ platform. It
should be remembered that this second season had already been anticipated in
December 2024, but a specific date had not been confirmed until now.
A unique
concept: magical girls in the corporate world
The story
revolves around Kana Sakuragi, a university student in the middle
of a job search who ends up working as a professional magical girl after
facing a mysterious "Kaii".
Thanks to
her excellent memory and her work alongside veteran Hitomi Koshigaya,
Kana becomes part of Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc., a company
specializing in combating supernatural threats. What seems like a dream job
soon becomes an experience as magical as it is exhausting.
International
production and distribution
The first
season was directed by Masahiro Hiraoka and produced by MOE and J.C.STAFF
studios. The script was written by Shingo Nagai, while Hidehiro
Asama and Masahiro Fujii were in charge of character
design. The music was composed by Makoto Miyazaki. The series is
available worldwide through Amazon Prime Video.
The work is
the brainchild of Sekka Iwata and Yu Aoki,
published digitally by Shueisha in Shonen Jump+ magazine.
The English version is available on MANGA Plus under the
title Magilumiere Co. Ltd., while VIZ Media publishes
its print edition.
