Gachiakuta reveals five new voice actors for its anime

The Gachiakuta TV anime, based on the Kei Urana manga, recently revealed the addition of five new voice actors to its cast. The production is in charge of the prestigious BONES studio, and continues to expand its cast with actors of great experience.

Synopsis of the story

 

The plot follows Rudo, a young man who survives in the suburbs of a floating city, where the rich live in abundance while the poor make do with what is left over. After being unjustly accused of murder, he is sentenced to an unimaginable punishment: being thrown into the abyss along with the garbage. There, among waste and monsters born of human abandonment, Rudo must awaken a new power and join the so-called Cleaners, a group that fights against the creatures of the pit, while seeking justice and revenge.

Production Equipment

 

The anime is directed by Fumihiko Suganuma (The First Slam DunkTrain to the End of the World). Hiroshi Seko (Chainsaw ManVinland SagaMob Psycho 100) oversees the scripts, while Satoshi Ishino (Date A LiveRelease the Spyce) designs the characters and serves as chief animation director. The music is provided by Taku Iwasaki (Bungo Stray DogsShin Kamen Rider).

 

International Issue

 

The anime premiered in Japan on July 6 via CBC, TBS, and more than 26 networks. In Spain, it can be seen on the same day through Crunchyroll, which distributes the series in various regions of the world, in addition to offering an English dub.

 

About the original manga

 

The Gachiakuta manga debuted in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in February 2022. Hideyoshi Ando is credited with designing graffiti for the work. Currently, the publisher has published up to volume 15, released on June 17.
