new promotional visual that previews the decisive matches that will mark the
end of its second cour. The image shows Senku, Xeno,
and Stanley face to face, with Medusa's enigmatic
power at the center of the confrontation.
The
original work and its international success
The Dr.
STONE manga, written by Riichiro Inagaki and
illustrated by Boichi, was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly
Shonen Jump magazine from March 2017 to March 2022, gathering in a
total of 27 volumes. In the West, the publisher VIZ Media is
in charge of its publication in English.
Team
behind the animated adaptation
The
animated version is directed by Shuhei Miyashita under the
production of TMS Entertainment. The script is written by Kurasumi
Sunayama, while Yuko Iwasa designs the characters. The
music is the work of Tatsuya Kato, Hiroaki Tsutsumi and YUKI
KANESAKA.
The

The plot
places us several thousand years after a mysterious phenomenon petrified all of
humanity. Senku Ishigami, a young man with a prodigious intellect
and a passion for science, awakens in a world turned to stone. Determined to
rebuild civilization from scratch, he teams up with his childhood friend Taiju
Oki and together they begin an adventure to restore humanity's lost
glory.
With a
journey that spans from the Stone Age to the modern era, the
work tells an unprecedented scientific epic where each discovery opens the door
to new possibilities... and new dangers.
