The October issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine announced that Nio Nakatani's new manga will be titled Kimi wa Shūmatsu (You are the End). The work will debut in the next issue of the magazine, available on September 27, 2025 in Japan, with a color opening page and occupying the main cover.

A recent journey in the industry

In 2021, Nakatani began publishing Kami-sama ga Machigaeru (God Bless the Mistaken), also on Dengeki Daioh, ending in November 2023. The series had four compilation volumes, the last volume of which was published in January 2024. Yen Press handled its simultaneous digital release and currently distributes the physical editions.

The success of Bloom Into You

The author achieved great international recognition with the manga Bloom Into You (Yagate Kimi ni Naru), serialized between 2015 and 2019. The work inspired a television anime in 2018, a play in 2019, in addition to having an anthology of comics and spin-off novels written by Hitoma Iruma. In North America, Seven Seas Entertainment published all eight volumes of the manga and also edits the novels and anthology.

A creator linked to the Yuri genre

Throughout his career, Nakatani has published numerous yuri-themed one-shots, several of them included in the Éclair anthologies published by Yen Press. In addition, the publisher also publishes her previous work Sayonara Alter (Farewell to My Alter), consolidating the author as one of the most representative voices of the genre today.
