The
educational anime Gakkō dewa Oshiete Kurenai Taisetsu na Koto (Important
Things You Are Not Taught in School) will premiere its second story entitled "Jikan
no Tsukai-kata" (How to Use Your Time) on September 6 at
7:00 a.m. (local time in Japan), within the Iniminimanimo children's
block of the TV Tokyo channel. The episode will also be available on the
Japanese platform TVer.
This new
installment will focus on teaching children the importance of properly
managing their time, and it will do so through a story starring the
young Kanta Tokiwa, who often loses track of time playing video
games or reading manga.
A cast
that returns with more lessons
The
original cast returns to bring the main characters to life: Makoto
Koichi as Kanta, Haruka Chisuga as his older sister
Riko, Yumiri Hanamori as Kanta's mother, and Fukushi
Ochiai as Professor Watch, a character that will help him understand
how to manage his time effectively. Kōki Ohsuzu also
participates as Tama, his pet cat, and new characters such as Toshio (voice
of Sora Tokui) and Kanta's father (Yoshiki Inumaru) are
added.
A
proposal to teach everyday values
The anime
originally premiered on July 5 with an episode dedicated to
the importance of order and organization. This adaptation celebrates the tenth
anniversary of the popular series of educational books on which it is
based, which address topics such as hygiene, interpersonal relationships and
learning strategies.
The
direction is in charge of Kana Nakazawa in the IMAGICA Infos
studio in collaboration with Usagiou. Taeko Miura directs the
sound with effects by Yoko Sakurai, and the music is composed
by kidlit. The idol group OCHA NORMA performs the
main theme of the series.
A decade
teaching the essentials
Since its
launch in July 2015, the Gakkō dewa Oshiete Kurenai Taisetsu na Koto collection
has published 48 volumes and has reached 4 million
copies in circulation. Its practical and direct approach has made the
series a key tool to complement school education with teachings that last a
lifetime.
