Akita Shoten's Manga Cross portal published the final chapter of Taro Chiaki's manga Maō no Musume, Sugoku Choroi (The Demon King's Daughter Is Very Naïve), thus marking the end of a series that kept readers between laughter and tenderness for more than four years.

The story of Hell and the hero

The plot centers on Hell, daughter of the Demon King, who decides to resurrect the hero who once sealed her father with the purpose of subduing and torturing him as his servant. However, her plans are thwarted when she discovers that the hero possesses such a dazzling and charismatic aura that it shakes her feelings.

Publication details

The manga debuted at Manga Cross in June 2020. The first compilation volume was released in December of the same year, while the sixth and final volume went on sale in October 2024, consolidating the work as one of the most striking romantic comedies on the platform.

Other works by the author

Taro Chiaki had already gained notoriety with the manga Yomekura (Bride Class), published in the Monthly Shōnen Champion magazine between March 2015 and October 2018, ending with a total of 11 compilation volumes.

In addition, the author is known for his work Puri Puri, of which the publisher DrMaster came to publish seven of the eleven volumes in English, bringing his unique style to a wider audience.

An expected outcome

With the conclusion of Maō no Musume, Sugoku Choroi, Chiaki's followers say goodbye to a work that combined humor, romance and fantasy in a story that knew how to maintain its freshness until the last chapter.
