The
humblest swordsman in the countryside continues to prove that experience is
worth much more than impetuous youth. The animated adaptation of
the light novels Katainaka no Ossan, Kensei ni Naru (From
Old Country Bumpkin to Master Swordsman) released a fourth official
action-packed trailer and confirmed the addition of two important members to
the voice cast.
The new
characters will debut in the story from the seventh episode of this
installment. The renowned seiyuu Kensho Ono will lend his
voice to Warren Flumvelk, a former student of the protagonist Beryl Gardinant
who currently rules as lord of a border territory. For her part, the
popular Sumire Uesaka will play her younger sister, Shueste
Flumvelk, a refined young noblewoman. Both join the journey of Beryl, who after
leaving his quiet rural dojo was appointed special instructor of the imperial
knights, reuniting with his former apprentices who have now become the elite of
the kingdom.
The
production behind this acclaimed action comedy
This second
installment has been on the air since July 8, bringing together the talented
technical team that made the first season a true jewel of
the anime industry. Passione and Hayabusa Film continue
to be in charge of animation under the direction of Akio Kazumi, supported by
character designs by Satsuki Hayasaka and the soundtrack composed by Yasuharu
Takanashi. In the musical section, the opening theme "Kurenai no Ha"
is performed by the rock band Unicorn, while the group BLUE ENCOUNT performs
the closing theme entitled "Mikansei". The original story written
by Shigeru Sagazaki and illustrated by Tetsuhiro Nabeshima
continues to reap enormous success under the Square Enix label.
