During
the anime's fifth anniversary livestream, the main actors announced
that the third season of JUJUTSU KAISEN, based on the manga by
Gege Akutami, will premiere in January 2026. Along with the
announcement, a teaser trailer for The Culling Game and
a key visual for the new compilation film were
released.

team and new compilation film
Shota
Goshozono will direct JUJUTSU KAISEN: The Culling Game at the
MAPPA studio, with Hiroshi Seko overseeing the composition of the series and
Yosuke Yajima and Hiromi Niwa in character design. The music will be in charge
of Yoshimasa Teuri, repeating the team of the second season.
In
addition, a new compilation film titled JUJUTSU
KAISEN: Execution -Shibuya Incident x The Culling Game Begins-, was
announced, which will be released in Japan on November 7, 2025.
This feature film will include a recap of the Shibuya Incident arc and the
first two episodes of The Culling Game. Toho Animation and GKIDS
will release it in North America under the title JUJUTSU KAISEN:
Execution on December 5.
Exhibition
and upcoming events
An exhibition
of the anime in Sunshine City, Ikebukuro was also
revealed, which will take place from December 5 to 29 and will
cover the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death and Shibuya
Incident arcs. Later, the exhibition will tour other cities in Japan.
The JUJU
FES 26 event will be the final celebration of the fifth anniversary
and will be held in the early fall of 2026. Likewise, the mobile game
Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade announced its next arc: Cursed
Prison Island, supervised by Hiroshi Seko. More details, including the
opening video produced by MAPPA, will be revealed on September 23.
A brief
synopsis of the anime
Yuji
Itadori is a young man of extraordinary physical strength who leads an ordinary
school life. To save a companion attacked by curses, he consumes Ryomen
Sukuna's finger, sharing his body with this curse. Guided by the powerful
sorcerer Satoru Gojo, Yuji enters Tokyo Jujutsu High School, an
organization that fights curses, starting his life as a hero who uses the curse
to defeat other curses.
