to reports from ScreenTime, Netflix has decided to accelerate the
production of its live-action Kimetsu no Yaiba after the
worldwide success of Kimetsu no Yaiba: Infinity Castle. The
platform would seek to take advantage of the impact that the film has generated
at the box office to position this adaptation as one of its priority projects.
According
to recent reports, the live-action adaptation is in a rapid development phase,
although details about the cast, direction, or possible release date have not
yet been revealed. However, the announcement of its acceleration makes it clear
that Netflix is looking to capitalize on the global phenomenon of the
franchise.
The
film Infinity Castle has become a historical phenomenon,
breaking box office records in Japan, the United States and several Latin
American countries, consolidating Kimetsu no Yaiba as one of
the most successful anime franchises today.
