Magazine Weekly Shonen Champion from Akita Publishing announced that the manga Shy, written and illustrated by Bukimi Miki, will end in three chapters. With this, the series is approaching its closure after more than five years of continuous publication.
The work began as a one-shot manga published in January 2017 within the same magazine, and later began regular serialization in August 2019. Compilation volume number 31 was released on October 8 in Japan.
Shy it inspired an anime adaptation released in Japan in October 2023. Its second season has been broadcast since July 2024, continuing the story of the shy young heroine who tries to overcome her insecurities while protecting the world.
