Studio Trigger announced a new project titled The Lenticulars, directed by Akira Amemiya, recognized for his work in SSSS.Gridman and SSSS.Dynazenon. The studio released a promotional video with English subtitles in which Amemiya himself reveals the name of the production and confirms that more details will be offered during a special broadcast on October 31.
The announcement marks the return of one of Trigger's most representative directors, who has spearheaded some of the studio's most recognized productions.
About Akira Amemiya
Akira Amemiya he began his career as an animator in GAINAX, where he participated in emblematic titles such as Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, both directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi. After joining Studio Trigger, debuted as a director with Inferno Cop and later he co-directed Kill la Kill. Among his most notable works are also Ninja Slayer From Animation, Space Patrol Luluco and the commemorative project Transformers 40th Anniversary Special Movie.
