Kadokawa he announced the anime adaptation of the novel Kyoukai no Melody, written by Toshiya Miyata. The production revealed the main cast members, who reprise the same roles played in the special drama CD that accompanied the play upon its release.
The story, illustrated by LAM and published under the Media Works Bunko label, it focuses on two young people united by music and the experiences that shape their growth. The success of the first volume prompted a sequel edition, while the manga Iqura Sugimoto serialization began at Young Ace as part of the project expansion.
A cast that returns to give voice to Miyata's story
The confirmed cast includes a Kent Itou as Kyousuke Tsurumaki and to Daisuke Sakuma as Kai Amano, besides Yuuma Uchida in the role of Takeshi, Shunsuke Takeuchi as Makoto and Souma Saitou as Minoru. Miyata expressed his enthusiasm for the adaptation, highlighting his desire for the work to maintain the musical sensibility that defines the novel.
The novel debuted in May 2024 and was recognized with multiple awards, including Next Light Novel Awards. The second installment will arrive on November 25, the same date that the first volume of the manga will be published. With the announcement of the anime, the story continues to consolidate its presence in different formats.
