The days of
peaceful retreat are postponed again. The production of the second
season of the SAKAMOTO DAYS anime has been officially
confirmed. The announcement was made on December 20 during the series' special
event at Jump Festa 2026, with the main cast headed by Tomokazu
Sugita (Taro Sakamoto) in attendance.
Along with
the confirmation, a "super visual teaser" was revealed
portraying Taro Sakamoto during his younger days at the JCC (the
assassin training institution). The illustration captures a slim and lethal
Sakamoto riding a large motorcycle and pointing a gun backwards with a sharp
gaze.
Plot
details
The
promotional video teases the infiltration mission into the TCG, showing
Sakamoto disguised as a trainee wreaking havoc. Shin's reunion
with an old adversary and intense clashes starring ORDER members
such as Nagumo and Kamihate are also anticipated, all while the mystery
around Slur deepens.

The
franchise is experiencing its best moment: the manga has exceeded 15 million
copies and, in addition to this new season, the premiere of the live-action film
starring Ren Meguro is expected for April 29, 2026.
