The seasons
begin to turn and magic is felt in the air. On Monday, the production team
behind the anime adaptation of Agents of the Four Seasons: Spring (Shunka
Shūtō Daikōsha) shared a new promotional video and themed visual for
"Winter," further confirming that the series will make its grand
debut in spring 2026.
The new
promotional material introduces us to Rosei Kantsubaki, the Agent
of Winter, along with her guardian Itecho Kangetsu. But what has
excited fans of good music is the confirmation that Kensuke Ushio,
the genius behind the Chainsaw Man and Dandandan soundtracks,
will be in charge of composing the music for this series.
The
original story comes from the light novels written by Kana Akatsuki,
world-renowned for being the author of Violet Evergarden. The
original illustrations of the novel are the work of Suoh, and the
work won first place in the "New Title" category of the Kono
Light Novel ga Sugoi! guide in 2022.

The plot
immerses us in a world where the seasons do not change on their own, but are
brought by living deities known as the "Agents of the Four Seasons".
The story begins after the disappearance of the Agent of Spring, Hinagiku
Kayo, which left the country without spring for ten years. Her
guardian, Sakura Himedaka, spent that decade desperately searching
for her. Now, with the return of Hinagiku, the gears of fate are once again
moving in this emotional story of loss and rebirth.
