The
expectation for the technical renewal of the franchise continues to grow. The
official website of the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026 event
confirmed that there will be a special panel dedicated to the remake of
Dragon Ball Super: Beerus on April 19 at 1:15 PM PST.
The filing promises to reveal the "latest information" about this
improved version of the anime.
This
project, originally revealed in January's Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri,
is shaping up to be a technical and narrative reconstruction of the first arcs
of the series, seeking to correct the visual criticisms of the original
broadcast.
Dragon
Ball Super: Beerus remake details
According
to information confirmed by Toei Animation, this new version is
scheduled to premiere in the fall of 2026. This is not simply a
remaster, but a comprehensive overhaul that will include:
- New
and extensive cuts.
- Revisions
of existing scenes.
- A full rendering of all the
footage.
- Newly recorded dubbing with
added sheet music and sound effects.
- A total reconstruction of
history.
Given that
the panel will last approximately 20 minutes, it is speculated that the
presentation could focus on showing a new trailer that evidences the visual
evolution with respect to the 2015 series.
The
future of the franchise
This
announcement comes at a time of great activity for the saga, adding to the
previous revelations of the sequel Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic
Patrol (adaptation of the Moro Arc) and the video game Dragon
Ball: Age 1000, scheduled for 2027.
Although
only the Beerus saga has been officially confirmed, industry rumors suggest
that this "improved version" treatment could be extended to the
Future Trunks saga.
