About the work

The plot follows Noriko, a high school student who one day, on her way home, is suddenly transported to a fantasy world. Her situation becomes even more complex after being rescued by Izark, a brave young man who harbors the darkest evil entity imaginable. According to an ancient prophecy, Noriko possesses the power to unleash said evil. Inevitably bound together by fate, this peculiar alliance must navigate and survive in a hostile and unfamiliar environment.

Mangaka Kyoko Hikawa serialized this story in the pages of Hakusensha's LaLa magazine between 1991 and 2002. The work concluded its publication with a total of fourteen compilation volumes, consolidating itself over the decades as one of the pillars of fantasy romance and precursor of the modern isekai genre.
