The production team behind the animated adaptation of the Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun (known in Japanese as Mairimashita! Iruma-kun) confirmed on Tuesday that its highly anticipated fourth season will premiere on April 4.


The most outstanding news of this update is the definitive confirmation of its issuance format. The new season will feature a total of 24 episodes that will be broadcast over two cours (quarters), ensuring half a year of uninterrupted programming. At the same time, the committee announced that the band Penthouse will be in charge of performing the new opening theme, titled "Ichi Ni no San."

For the international audience, Crunchyroll confirmed that it will retain the streaming rights to broadcast the series in simulcast format in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, the CIS, and India. In fact, as a special detail for its most dedicated users, the platform had already screened the premiere of this season in advance during the Anime Frontier convention on December 14.


What is the story about?


The plot follows the misadventures of Iruma, a 14-year-old boy with a heart of gold who ends up being sold to demons by his own parents to satisfy their selfish interests. To his surprise, the demon who buys him turns out not to have a grandson of his own, so he decides to adopt him, pamper him and send him to study at an exclusive school for beings from the underworld. From there, the young human must survive day to day without revealing his true identity.


About the original work


The manga, written and illustrated by Osamu Nishi, began publication in the pages of Akita Shoten's Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine in March 2017. The jump to television occurred with a first season of 23 episodes released in October 2019, followed by a second installment in April 2021 and a third in October 2022. All previous seasons are available on Crunchyroll, offering both original subtitles and various English dubbing options.
