Solving a
criminal case has never been so lethal for the investigator himself. It has
been officially announced that the anime adaptation of the light novels Killed
Again, Mr. Detective? will begin airing on Japanese television
on April 2 through TBS's nightly programming block.
The update
included the release of a new trailer and a never-before-seen visual image
starring the main cast. The video trailer offers a first look at the series'
opening theme, a theme song titled "Stardust Eureka" and performed
by Multidimensional Control Mechanism YODAKA, the solo project of
musician Naohiro Hayashi.

About
the franchise
The story
follows Sakuya Otsuki, a high school student who aspires to become
a great detective like his famous father. In the company of his brilliant
assistant Lilithea, Sakuya delves into solving crimes, but with an
unusual and tragic twist: every time he starts an investigation, he ends up
being murdered. After being mysteriously revived, Lilithea is always by his
side, ready to help him piece together the clues, solve the puzzle, and catch
the culprit, even if it means infiltrating luxury cruise ships full of
suspects.
The
original work, written by Teniwoha and illustrated by Riichu,
began publication in physical format in August 2021, releasing its sixth
compilation volume in November 2025. The franchise inspired a manga adaptation
that was serialized between 2022 and March 2024, ending its run with a total of
two volumes printed in the Japanese market.
