The isekai of the most unexpected appraiser in the genre is ready for its debut. The official website of the animated adaptation based on the light novels The Strongest Job is Apparently Not a Hero or a Sage (known in Japan by its lengthy title Saikyō no Shokugyō wa Yūsha Demo Kenja Demo Naku Kantei-shi (Kari) Rashii Desu yo?) revealed a second promotional video for the series. The committee confirmed that the anime will have an early premiere on streaming services on April 1, and then make its official debut on Japanese television on April 4.

This new trailer also served to formally introduce the ending theme that will accompany the episodes. The song is titled "Mō Iikai?" and will be performed by the idol group Phantom Siita.

Details about The Strongest Job is Apparently Not a Hero or a Sage

The animation work is in charge of Studio Flad. In the director's chair is Makoto Hoshino (recognized for his work in Shin no Nakama). The scripts and composition of the series are in the hands of Megumi Shimizu (Otome Game no Hametsu Flag). The character designs are a joint effort between Mihoko Ookawa and Yoshie Matsumoto, while the original soundtrack is being composed by Tomoki Kikuya (Cheat Kusushi no Slow Life).

What is the story about?

The premise follows Hibiki Manabe, a completely ordinary high school student who one day is suddenly transported to a vast meadow in a monster-infested fantasy world. As he wanders aimlessly through this unfamiliar environment, the young man realizes that the world system has granted him the ability of "Appraisal" and the unusual class of "Appraiser (working title)".

Determined to survive, Hibiki becomes an adventurer under the guidance of Emalia, a blonde elf he meets in the grasslands. Little by little he forms a rather peculiar team that is joined by Claude (a cursed beastman), Lillian (a sage from the future) and Vene (a sacred white feline beast). Together, they will find a way to return the protagonist to his original world while trying to discover if his temporary class is, as the title suggests, really the strongest of all.
