After
spending decades leaving life on the battlefield, the least you expect when you
retire is a decent pension or a small house to rest in. But life played a
rather bad joke on our protagonist. The official website of the anime
adaptation of The Frontier Lord Begins with Zero Subjects (Ryomin
0-nin Start no Henkyō Ryoshu-sama) has just released its second official
trailer, confirming that this curious story of fantasy and relaxation will be
released definitively on July 10. In addition, the trailer lets us
hear a fragment of what will be its opening theme.
The
production of this project is in the hands of the studio42 studio,
under the direction of Kenichi Imaizumi, an old acquaintance in the
industry for his impeccable work leading seasons three to six of the
acclaimed series Kingdom. The scripts are being polished by
Kunihiko Okada, while Keiichi Tsuboyama is in charge of adapting the character
designs. To get us in the mood, the Japanese-Korean pop-rock band CROWN
HEAD will perform the opening song titled
"Wonder", while singer Kaya will bring us the
beautiful ending song titled "Hoshi Furu Yoru no
Yakusoku".

of everyday fantasy stories.
Synopsis
of The Frontier Lord Begins with Zero Subjects
The plot centers on Dias, a formidable warrior who finally returns home after spending decades fighting on bloody battlefronts. Treated as a true hero, the king decides to reward his sacrifices by granting him his own territory to govern as a feudal lord. However, the joy is short-lived: the promised land turns out to be a completely empty plain that stretches as far as the eye can see, with an initial population of exactly zero inhabitants. Having known only the art of war all his life, Dias finds himself completely lost on how to survive in that wasteland or how to transform it into a prosperous place. Fortunately, a mysterious horned girl named Alna appears on his way to show him that these desolate lands hide many more possibilities than anyone could imagine at first glance.
