The Hero's bow is about to increase in
intensity. The second cour of the fourth season of That Time I Got
Reincarnated as a Slime arrives on July 3, 2026, and the
announcement was accompanied by a new visual key, a second trailer and the
musical themes that will accompany this stage of the story. The sign is clear:
the Primal Demons are about to have their full debut.
The new opening "TACTIC" is
performed by Daoko, with production by Giga and TeddyLoid.
The ending "Hymnal" is in charge of Azusa
Tadokoro, who also lends her voice to the character of Chloe within
the series, adding an extra layer of connection between performer and
character. Both songs appear in the new trailer.
The second visual key places Rimuru alongside
the Primal Demons Testarossa, Ultima, and Carrera,
who will finally have their full-scale debut in the anime. Chloe and Granville appear
in the foreground next to a mysterious figure who bears a striking resemblance
to Chloe, a detail that already raises questions about where the Hero's arc is
going in this second half of the season.
About That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime began as a web novel in Shosetsuka
ni Naro and expanded to become one of the biggest isekai franchises on
the market, with light novels and manga exceeding 62 million copies in
circulation. The first season of the anime premiered in 2018, followed by
the second in 2021, the third in 2024, and multiple theatrical films. The
fourth season is structured in five divided cours, and this second cour
continues to follow Rimuru, the ex-office worker reincarnated as a
slime who works to build a nation where all races can live together in harmony,
while facing conflicts and increasingly powerful enemies that his growth as a
leader inevitably attracts.
