Senior year of high school always hits
differently, and You and I Are Polar Opposites knows it. The
third trailer for the second season arrived revealing the
ending of Mega Shinnosuke and confirming the premiere
for July 5, 2026, with a direct focus on the emotional changes that
the group faces as they approach the end of their school years.
The new closing theme is called "Unmei
no Kimi" (You, My Destiny), and Mega Shinnosuke himself commented
that he sought to create a rock song capable of encouraging those who are going
through those types of youthful days portrayed in the series, expressing his
desire for the audience to enjoy the song at full volume along with the anime.
The trailer uses the theme to underscore the group's bittersweet emotions:
moments of closeness, estrangement, happiness, and loneliness that intertwine
as the characters prepare for college entrance exams.
The video puts the spotlight on Miyu
Suzuki and Yusuke Tani as they begin to prepare for
those exams, with their feelings becoming more complex amid the changing
circumstances. It also explores the dynamic between Shino Azuma and Shuji
Taira after Azuma openly expresses his feelings, generating new
emotional tension within the group.
