sounds like the perfect plan, unless fate puts you in the role of the
supporting character that only serves for comic relief. The light novel
series Magical Explorer: Reborn as a Side Character in a Fantasy Dating
Sim (Magical Explorer), written by Iris and
illustrated by Noboru Kannatsuki, has officially confirmed that
its animated adaptation will premiere on Japanese television
next October. The news was accompanied by the first official
trailer and a promotional image that shows the visual style of the series.
The premise introduces us to a fan who wakes up
inside the world of Magical Explorer, a legendary dating simulator
game with magic. However, instead of embodying the super-powerful protagonist
surrounded by a harem, he ends up becoming Kosuke Takioto, the unfortunate and
secondary friend who never manages to keep any girl. Far from getting
depressed, Kosuke decides to make the most of his in-depth knowledge about the
title's secrets, events, and hidden mechanics to secretly train, become
ridiculously strong, and help the beautiful heroines reach their happy endings.
A renowned studio and a luxury cast
For the peace of mind of the community,
the animation will be in charge of the acclaimed WHITE FOX studio,
under the direction of Kazuki Ohashi. The scripts will be
supervised by Satoko Sekine, while Ryosuke Kimiya will
adapt the character designs and Kenichiro Suehiro will be in
charge of the soundtrack. The franchise was born as a web novel in 2018 before
moving to print format in 2019, already accumulating thirteen volumes on the
market and shaping up to be one of the funniest isekai releases
of the fall season.
