Having an
impeccable reputation in school is exhausting, but maintaining a double life
while appearing to be a perfect angel is another level. The anime adaptation of
the Fall in Love manga, You False Angels (Koiseyo Mayakashi
Tenshi-dome) officially presented its first promotional trailer during the
Aniplex event, confirming that the series will hit screens in 2027 under the
production of the acclaimed MAPPA studio.
The trailer
allowed us to meet the protagonist couple who will lead this story of
appearances. Voice actress Nao Ojika will lend her voice to
Otogi Katsura, the class president admired by all who hides a rather cheeky
personality. For his part, actor Taito Ban will play Toki
Ninomae, the impeccable vice president who keeps his own hidden side and ends
up becoming his accomplice after discovering Otogi's secret.
In the
musical section, the renowned composer Kensuke Ushio will be
in charge of the sound production, accompanied by Yunosuke Senoo and Yuhki
Kurihara in the composition of the songs. The direction of the project
falls to Yasutomo Okamoto within the MAPPA facilities,
with Mariko Oka adapting the character designs and Yohei
Yamazaki supervising the writing of the scripts. The technical team is
completed by Takumi Hashimoto in art direction, Kana
Tanabe in color design, Shunsuke Taniguchi in
photography direction and Ayumu Takahashi in editing.

Fall in Love, You False Angels
Written and
illustrated by Coco Uzuki, the original manga began serialization
in the pages of Kodansha's Dessert magazine in April 2023. The story follows
Otogi Katsura and Toki Ninomae, two high school freshmen who are seen by
everyone as exemplary angels but are privately complete opposites. By
discovering each other, they form a pact to protect their true personalities
against their companions, weaving a complicity that gradually brings them
closer together.
The work
has wide recognition in the industry, having won the Kodansha Manga Award in
2025 and a nomination for the Shogakukan Manga Award in the same year, in
addition to consistently being among the most popular titles for readers in the
specialized guide Kono Manga ga Sugoi!. The printed work currently
has seven compiled volumes published and is in a brief publication break that
will end in November.
