To think
that the story of the industry's greatest heroes was completely over was naïve.
To celebrate its tenth anniversary in a big way, the animated adaptation
of My Hero Academia (Boku no Hero Academia) is
preparing the reveal of an all-new project that promises to ignite the
excitement of fans during a special live broadcast.
The stellar
announcement will come on September 20 through a special program entitled All
Might Nippon YouTube Special Edition: 10th Anniversary Midterm Report,
which will be broadcast live on the official TOHO animation channel. The event
will be hosted by voice actors Daiki Yamashita, who plays the
protagonist Izuku Midoriya, and Nobuhiko Okamoto, in charge of
giving life to the explosive Katsuki Bakugo. This program will function as the
video version of the popular radio show All Might Nippon, which
accompanied the franchise throughout its television installments until the
eighth and final season.
In addition
to revealing the details about the mysterious new project, the event will serve
to review the initiatives launched under the framework of the anime's tenth
anniversary, which already add up to fifteen active projects and several
additional plans on the way. To crown the broadcast, Yamashita and Okamoto will
perform live some of the most iconic scenes from Midoriya and Bakugo throughout
the anime, pre-selected through a vote made among the viewers themselves.

Hero Academia
Written and
illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi, the My Hero Academia manga
began publication in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in July 2014 and concluded in
August 2024 after a successful ten-year run. Its animated adaptation debuted on
screens in April 2016 and reached its grand conclusion on December 13, 2025
after accumulating 170 episodes. After finishing his masterpiece, the author
published a unique 61-page horror chapter titled Don't Laugh,
Shijima-san, marking his first unreleased work since the franchise's
closure.
