When you
thought that the betrayal of your supposed best friend was the limit, Rua comes
back ready to collect each of the outstanding debts. The light anime adaptation
of the popular manhwa With Vengeance, Sincerely, Your Broken Saintess (Kizu
Darake Seijo Yori Hofuku wo Komete) released its third promotional trailer
to warm up for the premiere of its second season, scheduled for October
1.
The new
video teaser offers a snippet of the title track titled "Kareinaru
Revenger," performed by idol group Juice=Juice. The song features
lyrics by Aoi Yamazaki, composed by RUSH EYE with Anna Kusakawa and musical
arrangements by RUSH EYE himself, achieving a melody that perfectly reflects
Rua's dark resolve and the beginning of his revenge during the kingdom's
founding festival.
For this
new installment, the direction of the project within the IMAGICA Infos
and Imageworks Studio studios passes into the hands of Saya Fukase,
who takes over from director Chisaki. The rest of the key team maintains their
positions, highlighting Yuichi Imaizumi in sound direction, Hiroki Nozaki and
Airi Kobayashi in sound effects, onoken in music composition, and Kazuya Takahashi
in general supervision.
In the
voice section, the main cast returns in its entirety to bring the kingdom's
conflicts to life. Actress Asami Seto leads the cast as Rua, accompanied
by Soma Saito as Sven, Momo Asakura as the fake Arianne, Kazuki
Ura as Commander Garrett, Kazuyuki Okitsu as Cezee, Tomoaki Maeno
as Prince Sarid, Minami Tsuda as Diana Peridot, and Reio Tsuchida
as Luis Riston.
Based on
the vertical webtoon written and illustrated by Aminohada and SORAJIMA,
the work began publication on the comic platform in August 2022 and concluded
its main story in June 2025. The series uses a light animation format that
allows the panels to be adapted with a more agile production without losing the
dramatic intensity of the original product.
The story
follows in the footsteps of Rua, a candidate saint with the unique gift of
healing anyone, although with the terrible condition of absorbing all wounds
and sufferings in her own body. After being outcast and despised as the
"Holy Fall", Rua nearly lost her life after secretly healing Commander
Garrett. However, when she woke up, she discovered that her best friend Arianne
had taken all the credit for the miracle. Determined never to be a victim
again, Rua accepts the second prince's proposal to start a new life as a cold
villain and consummate her revenge.
