The girls of Pole Princess!! still have some choreographies pending and, apparently, they do not plan to leave the stage so soon. Avex Pictures and Tatsunoko Production announced a new film titled Pole Princess!!: Croix du Nord, which will hit Japanese theaters on January 29, 2027. However, those who want to enjoy this show on the big screen will have to hurry, as it will only be available for two weeks in six theaters in Japan.

The new production will have an approximate duration of 60 minutes of CG animation and will feature five songs included in the Shining Pole Song Album, released in February 2026. In addition to featuring new pole dance performances, the film will continue the events of the 2023 film installment and introduce a girl who seems to have a rather particular connection with one of the protagonists.

A new rival appears in Pole Princess!!

The story will begin after the events of the Pole Dance Japan Cup, where Hinano Hoshikita and her Galaxy Princess bandmates faced off against the powerful group Aile d'Ange. Now that the competition is over, the four girls continue to hone their skills and explore new ways to perform on stage.

Everything changes when Yukari Mikoshiro, a member of the rival group, contacts them to invite them to participate as special artists in an event organized by Aile d'Ange. The protagonists gladly accept, although the real surprise will come when a mysterious young woman named Luchika Himeori suddenly appears in Azumi's study.

For now, those responsible have not explained too much about this new member, but they advanced that she has an important relationship with Azumi. Its original design was in charge of the illustrator tomari, who also participated in the creation of the characters of the franchise. We will have to see if her appearance ends up complicating things for the girls or if we will simply have another pole dancer enthusiast.

The voice cast will return for the film

As for the cast, the return of the eight main voice actresses of the franchise was confirmed, including several well-known figures within the anime industry:

  • Hinano Hoshikita: Rio Tsuchiya, who also played Mei Toomi in CUE!.
  • Lilia Saijo: Anna Suzuki, known for playing Lemon Kokoa in Waccha PriMagi!.
  • Mio Tousaka: Yui Ogura, who voiced Hinata Hakamada in Ro-Kyu-Bu!.
  • Subaru Nanyo: Minami Hinata, recognized for playing Bojji in Ranking of Kings.
  • Yukari Mikoshiro: Yoshino Nanjo, who played Eli Ayase on Love Live! School Idol Project.
  • Sana Murafuji: Rina Hidaka, known for voicing Milim Nava in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.
  • Noa Aoi: Saori Hayami, who plays Yor Forger in SPY x FAMILY.
  • Azumi Shino: Rie Kugimiya, the unforgettable voice of Taiga Aisaka in Toradora!.

On the other hand, Hitomi Ezoe will return to directing at Tatsunoko Production, accompanied again by Toko Machida in the scripts and Yoshihiro Otobe in the CG animation direction. Kotono Sakurai will be in charge of adapting the character designs for the animation, while Kenta Higashiohji will compose the music. The choreographies will also be supervised by KAORI, from Studio Transform, who has been involved in the project since its inception.

It should be remembered that Pole Princess!! began as an original series distributed online between the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023. Her story follows Hinano Hoshikita, a student who discovers pole dancing and ends up forming a group with her friends. The franchise released its first film in November 2023, with a competition that pitted Galaxy Princess against the experienced members of Aile d'Ange.

At the moment, an international release for Pole Princess!!: Croix du Nord has not been confirmed, so fans outside of Japan will have to wait for new news about its distribution.
