The official website of the renowned seiyuu and singer Maaya Sakamoto announced the release of their new album Single Collection + Achikochi for July 15 of this year. This is part of his project to commemorate his 25th anniversary since his debut.
This new two-disc album will include all of their most popular songs released after 2013, from their 22nd single Hajimari no Umi to the latest digital single Clover. There's also Cloud 9 and Tell me what the rain knows (Yoko Kanno composition) which were featured only on the WOLF’S RAIN anime series soundtrack album. The Bonus Blu-ray version for the first limited press release of the album will include its last ten music videos, the Sakamoto Maaya Open Air Museum 2017 concert held in June 2017, and live footage from the Inu Fes event! February 2019.
Maaya Sakamoto debuted as a voice actress in 1988 when she was 8 years old. His musical debut was with the single Yakusoku wa Iranai that was opening of the anime series The Vision of Escaflowne (1996). In this same series he voiced the protagonist Hitomi Kanzaki. Other roles he has played are Merlin in Nanatsu no Taizai, Fujioka Haruhi in Ouran High School Host Club, Kiyomi Takada in Death Note, among others.
