A new promotional video was revealed via the official website for the animated adaptation of Oyasumi's Maoujou manga. In this preview, two new members were announced for the cast of voices in the series. Voice actor Yoshitsugu Matsuoka will bring to life the character of the Demon King Tasogare while Kaito Ishikawa will play the Demon Cleric. It was previously announced that the protagonist of the story, Princess Syalis would be played by actress Inori Minase. The series will be released during 2020 under the production of the animation studio Doga Kobo.
A new visual with the tokens of the new announced characters was also revealed:
Kumanomata began publishing the manga in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in May 2016. The publisher published the twelfth compilation volume on January 1.

Synopsis of Maoujou de Oyasumi
Shhh! Princess Syalis is trying to sleep well at night. A long time ago when people and demons coexisted, not in complete harmony of course, a demon king kidnapped a human princess and locked her in her castle. Stripped, the princess' subjects continually thought of a solution… until the hero arises to spearhead the princess's rescue mission!
While waiting for her knight in shining armor, what should an imprisoned princess do? Bat-winged teddy bears aren't bad, but their cell is very boring! Then, she will decide to spend the long hours sleeping, if only she could get comfortable ... if only she did not suffer from insomnia ...
