Streets of Rage 4 already has a release date

There was a bit of concern a few days ago, after Dotemu indicated that the "leaked" release date for Streets of Rage 4 was false. Would this expected beat’em up be delayed for a long time, as it is happening with so many premieres and projects?

Fortunately, this is not the case, because through a new trailer that reveals the expected return of Battle Mode (which allows "friendly" combat in 8 scenarios), Dotemu indicates the official release date:

It will be April 30, 2020 when Streets of Rage 4 comes to Xbox One (free with Xbox Game Pass), PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, at a price of $ 24.99 and with the possibility of getting a couple of editions in physical format (standard and collector).

The addictive BATTLE MODE appeared on SOR2 and 3

As if that were not enough, Brave Wave revealed the art of Ayano Koshiro that will have the soundtrack of the game, which will also have a vinyl version, in addition to the digital one:
The soundtrack includes the talented Yuzo Koshiro, Yuzo Koshiro and Motohiro Kawashima, in the absence of Hideki Naganuma, but with the inclusion of Harumi Fujita (Mega Man, Strider).

Previously it was reported that new retro modes will allow the inclusion of characters in 16-Bit aspect (from the SEGA Genesis era), as well as the music of the first and second games of the saga. This new adventure comes 26 years after the last game, although apparently the story is located chronologically 25 years after the end of SOR3.
